What is the Empowering Children and the Media project (ECM)   The Empowering Children and the Media project is a joint initiative by the Media Monitoring Project (MMP), Save the Children Sweden and UNICEF. The project monitored how children are represented and the implication for children’s rights in the South African news media. This CD ROM contains the results of the project and further information concerning the rights of children in relation to the media and tools for journalists to use to ensure that they safeguard these rights.
