The Media Monitoring Project (MMP) is looking for a volunteer to assist the organisation in running some of its core functions.

Responsibilities
• Monitoring the media for human rights issues;
• Archiving of media items for both broadcast and print;
• Assisting in administration; and
• Background research for most of MMP’s projects.

Requirements
• BA degree in Social Sciences;
• Sound computer literacy;
• Knowledge of or interest in human and social rights issues;
• Knowledge or of interest in South African media issues;
• Critical and analytical skills;
• Attention to detail;
• Administration skills; and
• Honesty and punctuality in handing in work.
